Annual Celebrations In Rome
With Rome being absolutely stuffed with culture it’s no surprise the neighbors like to share this culture with the remainder of the globe. The festivals, whilst varying in nature, are consistent in the pleasure and richness that they add to the already fascinating culture of Rome. Beginning at the beginning of the year there are traditional celebrations on January first. After the previous nights celebrations, New Years Day is an enjoyable filled event with a parade which goes along the thru della Conciliazione and finishes at St. Peters Square where the Pope gives his New Year blessings for all.

The Festa di San Giovanni – each year on and around June 24th the citizens of Rome celebrate the birth of John the Baptist. The celebrations are fabulous and sexy. High spots include firework displays and the procession of all members of the Clergy in Rome through the highways of the city. There are a bunch of traditions associated with this event which should be of deep meaning to Catholic visitors and of cultural interest to other.
Estate Romana festival – Held annually between June and October, the state Romana festival sees assorted locations around the town host a range of kinds of entertainment including jazz concerts, rock concerts and classical music concerts. There’s also an assortment of sports events, film and theatre spectacles as well as children’s activities implying that this really is a festival for all of the family.
